NEW WATER SERVICE REQUESTS

A service line and water meter is required for each service and a meter pit may be necessary in some situations.

As a condition for providing water, the property owner agrees to pay for all necessary charges for maintaining or replacing the service pipe from the curbstop to the house, and further agrees to abide by all the rules and regulations including current water rates and charges.

Installation of a fire line is at the expense of the property owner. Superintendent must approve plan and inspect installation.

The owner or applicant will need to arrange for installation of a service line from the curb stop to the building through a private contractor. The Water District will install all road crossovers, when necessary, water main taps and curbstop connections, and if traffic warrants, hire a police officer at the owner/applicant's expense.

Blacktop replacement, fence removal, tree removal, shrub replacement and lawn repair are the responsibility of the owner/applicant. Hardtop removal and replacement will be billed at the current labor and material rates.

If there is no water main available to connect to the service, or if the District is not capable of making the connection and an outside contractor needs to be hired, all expenses for the contractor and materials will be paid by the property owner.

A water meter is required for each service. Download the New Water Service Application (.pdf) to see if a meter pit is required. Size to be determined by the owner/applicant. If size is in excess of 3/4", the cost is to be paid by the owner/applicant.
